Dr. Jessica Hale is a dedicated and passionate professional in her field, committed to advancing knowledge and practice. With a strong educational background from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and extensive experience in the field of dentistry, she is a general dentist focusing on a broad range of services from preventative to crowns and implants. She is committed to lifelong learning and continuing education. Dr. Hale is known for her collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues and patients to achieve the best outcomes. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys sailing, traveling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family, which contribute to her holistic perspective on health.

Cleanings and Preventative Care

Dentistry is founded on the principle of prevention. All patients are recommended to undergo biannual cleanings and examinations. We also offer whitening. And, if you haven't been as good with hygiene in the past, we can help get you back on track with periodontal treatment.

Restorative- including fillings, crowns and bridges

If you have a damaged or decayed tooth, Dr. Hale can help you choose the best solution, whether it is a filling to prevent the spread of decay or a crown or bridge to restore lost tooth structure.

Extractions

We will make every effort to preserve your natural teeth. However, extractions are necessary when decay has made the tooth unsalvageable or when you have an advanced periodontal disease.

Dentures, Partials and Flippers

While we try to save teeth whenever possible, sometimes, extractions are necessary when decay has made the tooth unsalvageable or when you have an advanced periodontal disease. Dentures and flippers can be an appropriate, removable option to replace the missing tooth or teeth.

Dental Implants

In situations where the loss of a tooth is unavoidable, one or more fixed implants can be placed, depending on how many teeth are missing. Ask about your options today. While we are currently only restoring implants, soon, in select cases, we will be placing them as well.

Stephanie is a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Colorado Northwestern in 1993. She practiced 8 years in Big Piney, WY, 6 years in Grangeville, ID and has been with Dr. Turnage since 2007. Steph and her husband Fred, school Superintendent, enjoy participating in the school events. They have two children, CJ and Kiana who are both attending college. In her spare time Steph likes to hike, read and spend time at the islands beaches.

Raised right here on San Juan Island, Jacklyn is a true local. Before hygiene school, she interned with Bo during high school, and got inspired to become a dental hygienist after working with Stephanie Woods. After graduating PIMA Medical Institute in North Seattle in 2020, she immediately asked Bo if he needed help, and got her dream job with a view!

Leah was born and raised in Reno, NV. She got her bachelor's degree at The Evergreen State College and has been with the practice since 2017. When she’s not at the office she moonlights as a pastry chef and home builder.
